Privacy Policy
Effective October 7, 2026
Stamped is a passport for the things you do: the shows you go to, and the films, shows, books, albums, games and restaurants you get to. This policy says what Stamped collects, why, who can see it, and how to delete it. It's written to be read, so it's short.
What Stamped collects
- Your account: your email address, your name, your username, and your password. Your password is stored scrambled (hashed) by our hosting provider, and nobody at Stamped can read it. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple gives us an identifier for you and, if you choose, your name and email or a private relay address.
- Your profile photo, if you add one.
- The month and year you were born. You're asked for your birthday when you join, to check you're 13 or older and, if you're under 18, to keep the films, shows and albums we suggest to ones rated for teens. Only the month and year are kept, and only you can see them.
- Your passport: what you log and the details you add, such as titles, dates, venues, seats, ratings, notes, top picks, an event's cover photo, a photo you put on a restaurant, and who you went with. Other photos you add to an event stay on your phone.
- Your connections: who you follow and who follows you, follow requests, tags and their answers, and people you block.
- Reports you send about another person or their stamp.
- Notifications: if you allow them, your phone's notification token, so we can tell you about follows and tags.
- Sign-in protection: when you sign in with a username, the username you typed is kept for up to a day, to limit password guessing.
Stamped does not collect your location, your phone's contacts, or advertising identifiers, and doesn't track you across other apps or websites. There are no ads, and we don't sell your information. If you import events from your Calendar, your calendar is read on your phone. Only the events you choose to import become part of your passport.
How it's used
To run Stamped: to keep your passport and show it on your other devices, to show your profile and passport to the people your privacy settings allow, to let people find, follow and tag each other, to send the notifications you've allowed, and to look into reports.
Who can see what
You choose who can follow you (everyone, only people you approve, or no one) and what your followers see. By default, your upcoming plans and your notes are visible only to you. Your name, username and profile photo can be seen by other signed-in Stamped users, except people you've blocked, and except for people you're not connected to if you've chosen "No one." The rest of your passport is shared only as your privacy settings allow, and Stamped's servers apply those settings before anything is sent to another person.
Services Stamped uses
- Supabase hosts Stamped's database, sign-in, file storage and server functions, and stores the information above.
- Apple provides Sign in with Apple, delivers notifications, and powers restaurant search and pictures (Apple Maps).
- Search providers receive the words you type when you search, but not your account: Ticketmaster (live events), TMDB (films and TV), Open Library (books), RAWG (games), and Apple's iTunes Search (albums). Each has its own privacy policy.
Keeping and deleting your information
Your information is kept while you have an account. You can delete your account at any time in Settings › Delete Account. That removes your account, passport, photos, connections and settings from Stamped's servers right away, and removes your passport from that phone. Copies may stay in our hosting provider's backups for a short time before they're overwritten. Reports you sent are kept, without your name, so they can still be looked into. On other people's stamps that you were tagged on, you stay as a plain name.
Children
Stamped isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. Stamped asks for your birthday before you create an account with email, and doesn't create one for someone under 13. If an account made with Sign in with Apple turns out to belong to someone under 13, it's deleted straight away. The phone remembers only that someone under 13 tried, and only until they turn 13, so the question can't simply be answered again. If you think a child has an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll say so in the app before the change takes effect.
